Many cruise lines show their appreciation for members of the military through some form of booking discount, special rate, or onboard credit. If you’ve got clients who are actively serving in the military, retired from, or veterans of military service, knowing about these offers can help you serve them better.
With Veteran’s Day just around the corner, Travel Market Report has rounded up some short-term promotions, as well as the year-round offers each of the cruise lines provide.

Carnival Cruise Line
What: Carnival offers special rates to military personnel on almost every sailing.
Who: Reduced rates are available to active and retired members of the Canadian National Defense and the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserves.
How: Travel advisors can book these rates on behalf of their clients. Eligibility documents must be submitted to Carnival for confirmed reservations within 72 hours for cruises outside one week prior to sailing and 24 hours for cruises within one week prior to sailing. Documents can be emailed to [email protected].
Celebrity Cruises
What: Celebrity offers military discounts on sailings of four nights or longer, departing through May 5, 2023, and not including the Galapagos. Discounts are $25 off of inside and ocean view fares and $100 off veranda, Concierge Class, AquaClass, and Suite Class fares.
Who: Savings are available to active, retired, or veteran members of the United States or Canadian military.
A valid U.S. or Canadian military ID must be presented at the pier to validate eligibility.
How: Travel advisors can apply these discounts on behalf of their clients.
Cunard
What: Cunard offers a year-round onboard credit program to all military personnel sailing onboard its ships. The amounts are as follows: $50 for six days or less, $100 for cruises of seven to 13 days, and $250 for cruises of 14 days or longer.
Who: The program is open to active military, retired military, and disabled military veterans with proper identification in the following service divisions: U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserves; Canadian National Defense; United Kingdom Military Personnel; Royal Australian Navy, Army, Air Force; and Royal New Zealand Navy, Army or Air Force.
How: To request this benefit on behalf of your client, please download and complete the application and submit it together with a copy of the required proof of eligibility no later than 14 days prior to the cruise departure date.
